New Health Requirements for 2017/2018

Attention All Families:  Beginning with the 2017-2018 School year all students must submit the required Health Forms on or before the 1st day of school or  they will NOT be allowed to start school until it is complete and those days of absence will be counted unexcused.

Students entering Kindergarten, 6th and 9th Grades are required to submit a School Physical with Up-to-date immunizations, or Physician signed Medical or Religious Objection paperwork.

12th graders must be Up-to-date with two Meningitis immunizations, or one after their 16th birthday.  

This change is being implemented following School Board adoption of this New 1st Day Exclusion Policy at their February 21, 2017 meeting.  This is a change from the October 15 exclusion policy which was being followed previously.

PTO Craft Fair

Reminder: Our PTO Holiday Craft Fair will be Friday, December 16^th from 9:00am-4:00pm.  We will have lots of crafters here with low priced gifts ranging from $1.00 to $10.00 for the children to buy from.  Capron PTO will be donating $1.00 to each child so that everyone has a chance to buy at least one gift.  Children will be able to shop during their PE time.  Parents are also invited to shop with their children after school from 2:45-4:00pm.  Santa will be here for pictures and we heard he may be bringing a treat for each child too!  J

If sending money with your child, we ask that you clearly label an envelope with your child’s name on it and enclose the money in the envelope before school.  We sent home a shopping list of who your child might want to buy for.  Please go over the list with your child and designate how much they should spend on each person.  Teachers will be in the gym while the children shop, but they will have many children to help.  Please remember that teachers are not responsible for how students spend their money if they are old enough to shop for themselves.  We look forward to an enjoyable day for everyone at our PTO Holiday Craft Fair!  J

Family Reading Night Thursday, 11/17

Family Reading Night is this Thursday at 6:00! We will enjoy reading books around the campfire, drinking hot cocoa, and eating yummy S'mores! Bring your flashlights and blankets to enjoy this fun family event!

District Preschool Screenings

There will be preschool screenings on Wednesday, December 7th, at Capron Elementary School. If you are interested in having your child evaluated for preschool, please contact the school office to set up an appointment. The school's number is (815) 569-2314.

Friday morning is our Preschool Breakfast Buddies. All Preschool students can bring one buddy with them to enjoy cider and doughnuts from Edwards Apple Orchard. Please only one buddy per student, as we want to ensure there are enough doughnuts and cider for everyone.

3rd & 4th Grade Breakfast Buddies
